Hybrid Living Week Kicks Off Today in the Triangle
TRIANGLE, N.C. – Hybrid Living Week and NC GreenPower’s September membership drive kick off Monday, Sept. 14, at two local car dealerships, Johnson Lexus of Raleigh and Johnson Lexus of Durham.
Through Thursday, Sept. 17, North Carolina-based non-profit NC GreenPower will visit the dealerships in the morning and late afternoon to educate people about its statewide efforts to reduce the amount of power produced by coal-burning power plants and replace it with “green” power. The four-day event aims to inspire people to consider little things they can do in their daily lives to reduce the amount of energy they use at work and at home, and it will also serve as a platform for NC GreenPower’s September membership drive.
NC GreenPower members contribute $4 to the non-profit each month, billed through their utility companies, and the money contributed by members is used to support projects like wind turbines, methane gas captures and solar panels. Hybrid living week is sponsored by Johnson Lexus, Yes! Solar Solutions, and SolarView, Inc.
