Fayetteville Breaks Ground On Green Building
The Fayetteville Public Works Commission held groundbreaking ceremony of its LEED-registered Customer Service Building Wednesday prior to the Commission’s regularly scheduled meeting.
The 10,000-square-foot building is one of the first buildings in Cumberland County to be built to LEED standards and is expected to be completed in the summer of 2009. LEED (Leadership in Energy Efficiency Design) is the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high performance green buildings.
