NC Lawmakers Look To Cut Emissions
RALEIGH, N.C. – North Carolina is one of many states planning ways to combat global warming.
In a USA Today story, George Givens, the General Assembly’s counsel, said lawmakers here are searching for ways to cut emissions.
Despite initial resistance from businesses, “there’s a growing sense (global warming) is real and we’ve got to face up to it,” he said.
